VERMOSHI: 1100 m above sea level. It is located in the northernmost part of Albania, about 85 km away from Koplik, in the Kelmend Administrative Unit. It is the largest village in the Albanian Alps.
This village is located on a mountain plain of glacial origin, between which passes the Vermoshi River, or as it is otherwise called, the Limi River, the only river in Albania with opposite flow that flows into the Danube. On both sides of the valley rise mountain slopes with considerable slopes covered with forests and pastures. Woody vegetation consists mainly of beech and conifers. Vermoshi is famous for its panorama as well as for the snowfall that lasts about 100 days a year.
The main activities that can take place in Vermosh are mountain climbing in the Marlula highlands, walks in the deep alpine valleys (of Lëpushë and Cem), skiing on natural snowy slopes, trout sport fishing, etc. Another activity is mountain bike tours.
