Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, has confirmed that the club has decided to transfer Vitor Roque since January, due to Gavi’s injury.
Gavi was injured in his campaign with Spain for the European Championship, and the 2024/2025 season is over for him.
“He is a player we have already acquired,” Deco explained.
“It was predicted that he would arrive in January or June, and with Gavi’s injury, we have made the decision, together with the coach and all of us, that the best thing is for Vitori to arrive now.”
