THE HEART CRIES

Pebbles in the cloud’s door panel, flower in the secret eye
The boat of words beckons in the unknown sea
Forgetting the way, tossed on the river bank by waves,
A rain shower, a dumb face, the lost time.

The heart cries to see closely the river Bankkhali
A hazy mirror plays with beauty and warm love,
Soft smiling water lily with a yearning plea
Depressed is the tiller of the words of the root

Revolving by the nor ’wester of divorced in summer
O the courageous sailor, have the patience of a craftsman
A gentle course against the current of the ebb tide
A great life expectancy in the city of nature.

Translated into English by Jyotirmoy Nandy
