Poetry cycle from the book of Self Confessions by Mevi Rafuna

Remember

You will hear my soft voice
then when you are
in the embrace of pain.
You will remember my words,
my lovely words.
I stayed with you
when your world ended.
You confessed to me
but you hurt me more.
I was your Angel
that protected you
for a long time.
But you broke my arms
and I ran with tears in my eyes,
far away from you…

Naked souls

I can see naked souls
devils and angels in human skin.
I can read the unspoken words,
I can detect fancy lies
coming from different lips.
I’m detached from the world!
Boring loneliness accompanies me.
This loneliness sometimes is magnificent!
I feel and understand a lot…
Sometimes I hate myself,
sometimes I love myself.
I live naked in these mountains;
and many times I asked myself:
Who can see my naked soul?
