The sporting director of Barcelona, Deco, speaking for “RACI”, said that coach Xavi Hernandez has 200 percent confidence of the Catalan club.
According to him, Xavi managed to win the championship last season even without Lionel Messi.
“We won a championship when people said it would take years to win the title again after we lost the best player on the team,” Deco said.
“Messi is not here and we thought we would not be able to win again. This whole process was difficult for a coach to handle. And Xavi achieved the title and we renewed it. The faith is 200% his”, said Deco.
He added that Barcelona always aims to play well.
“Of course we want to play well. We do not hide this. We know where we need to improve, but we can’t forget that we did good things”, said the former Barcelona ace.
