Marco Verratti’s adventure at Paris Saint Germain has already ended, after more than 11 years at the French capital. The 30-year-old Italian midfielder is not part of coach Luis Enrique’s plans and the French club has reached an agreement with Al Arabi in Qatar to sell Verratti for 45 million euros, plus bonuses. The Italian midfielder is thus leaving France after 11 years where played 516 games and scored 11 goals, as he is already expected to benefit from a hefty salary of more than 20 million euros per season at the club from Qatar.
Together with Verratti, the German fantasy player Julian Draxler, who has not been part of the club’s plans for several seasons and has played on loan in different teams, leaves Paris Saint Germain. Draxler will be transferred to Al Ahli Arabs, as the details of the agreement has not yet been announced. However, this income is quite important for PSG, which has spent more than 300 million euros in this summer’s market.
