Referee Bramall did not dispute that the foul was for a red card, while recently, the Argentinian has also been given the punishment as he will be suspended for three matches.
A decision that has “enraged” coach Jurgen Klopp, for whom the suspension is not only excessive and inappropriate, but for the German there should not have been a red card at all.
“It wasn’t a red card, it was a mistake by the referee. We were penalized after playing for 40 minutes with one less player, now they are penalizing us again with the suspension for the player. It was a contact like it happens in every game. Maybe it was a yellow card, if the referee had given Mac Allister a yellow card no one would have complained. He should have seen that moment better,” said Klopp.
