Juventus has defeated Real Madrid in a luxury friendly 3-1 held in Florida, United States of America.
Massimiliano Allegri has described the match against the Spanish giant as positive.
The Italian coach also spoke about Juventus’ objectives, where he said that the goal is to return to the Champions League, not mentioning the title of champion.
“We finished the tournament well, we played against a team that is very good both technically and physically. We played very well the first 25 minutes, then it was normal for the level of the opponent’s game to increase as we know their qualities very well”.
“However, against Real we defended well even though in the second half we lost the ball several times in dangerous areas, plus the temperatures here in Florida are very high and they affected our game. Anyway, I liked the way we interpreted the match”, said Allegri.
Allegri says that they stayed out of European competitions for non-sporting issues, while for the new season the objective is to return to the Champions League.
“They were left out of the European competitions due to non-sporting issues, as we were ranked third in the championship if it wasn’t for the 10 points that were deducted from us”.
“This season we have to focus as much as possible in order to return to the Champions League for the 2024-2025 season”, declared the Italian coach.
