The coach of Barcelona, Xavi Hernandez, has told “TV3CAT” that they have given up on the matter of Dembele.
“Ousmane Dembele has informed us that he wants to leave PSG. We cannot compete with PSG, their offer is too high, he has also spoken to Luis Enrique and Al Khelaifi. It hurts because we have taken care of him so that he feels happy here. But we can’t compete for him, he will leave,” said Xavi.
The 26-year-old was transferred to Barcelona in 2017 for 135 million euros from Borussia Dortmund.
