Diego Simeone would like to see Kylian Mbappe join Real Madrid as speculation continues over the Frenchman’s future.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker has already rejected a monumental bid from Al-Hilal, said to be in the region of €700m, as Mbappe is believed to have his heart set on a move to the Spanish giants.
If the 2018 World Cup winner does complete a move to Real Madrid, it would help them replace Karim Benzema who has taken up a new challenge in Saudi Arabia and further strengthen their attacking line.
However, Simeone is not worried about the rising power of his rivals and instead insisted he would welcome Mbappe’s move to Spain.
“I would love it, it would be incredible for the League so that it continues to be one of the best. All footballers who arrive in Spain empower. Madrid has no economic problems to deal with. Of course, if it’s not this year, next year we will compete against him”, he told AS.
