Victor Osimhen’s agent has rejected reports of a new contract with Napoli for his client, labeling them “fake news”.
Roberto Calenda, Osimhen’s representative, publicly criticized reports suggesting his client was unwilling to sign a new contract with the Scudetto winners.
Osimhen was a key figure in Napoli’s successful title chase last season, and with two years left on his current contract, they are keen to secure his future amid interest from several big European clubs.
Calenda took to Twitter to dismiss a report by Il Mattino, a Naples-based newspaper, which suggested the Nigeria international could still be looking for a way out, calling it “fake news”.
“I read in Il Mattino that “Calenda does not intend to renew in the summer and that he wants to explore first all the avenues in the market”. Fake news”.
The agent’s response shows that Victor Osimhen remains committed to Napoli and is ready to extend his stay at the club./
