Reports from Spain suggest that Carlo Ancelotti could be in charge of Brazil for the World Cup qualifiers in June.

The Italian coach is not expected to remain at Santiago Bernabéu beyond the end of this season, but he could even leave earlier.

There are still some suggestions that he might be dismissed if Real Madrid fails to defeat Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final this weekend.

Meanwhile, Relevo has insisted that Real Madrid will not keep Ancelotti for the Club World Cup campaign, which will take place from June to July.

If his departure is that close, then the Italian would be available to lead Brazil in their World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador on June 6 and Paraguay on June 9.

Although Roma and Milan have also shown interest in him, it appears he has already made the decision to take over the Brazilian national team.

As for Real Madrid, they have already found his replacement.

Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro has confirmed that they have a “gentlemen’s agreement” to release Xabi Alonso if any club comes calling.
