According to sources from the Express in the UK, the actor is in advanced talks with Disney for a reboot of the legendary franchise.
A Disney executive is quoted as saying: “We’re very close to finalizing. A script exists, and this will be a reboot that could open the door for more films with Johnny, despite the past.”
Depp, 61, parted ways with Disney following his public conflict with ex-wife Amber Heard and the loss of a defamation case in the UK.
