Casemiro, currently a star of Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United side, has explained his decision to leave Real Madrid in the summer of 2022.
In his first season at Old Trafford, the midfielder played 51 games, scoring seven goals and providing six assists.
Now, the 31-year-old has explained the decision he made. In an interview with “Placar”, Casemiro claimed that “it was the ideal opportunity to leave a big club like (Real Madrid), at an age that still allows him to have that hunger to keep winning.
“If it had been two or three years from now, I wouldn’t have left Real Madrid to go to another big one,” said the Brazilian.
