Goalkeeper David De Gea has left Manchester United after a 12-year spell.
The Spanish representative announced his departure from the “Red Devils” through social networks.
De Gea has published a long message on his account on social networks starting from the time when the former legendary coach, Sir Alex Ferguson brought him to “Old Trafford”.
“I just wanted to send this farewell message to all Manchester United supporters. I would like to express my unwavering gratitude and appreciation for the love of the past 12 years. We have achieved a lot since my beloved Sir Alex Ferguson brought me to this club.”
“I felt incredible pride every time I put on this shirt, to lead the team, to represent this institution, the biggest club in the world was an honor given to only a few lucky footballers. It has been an unforgettable and successful period since I came here.”
“I didn’t think that leaving Madrid as a young man we would achieve what we did together. Now, it is the right time to take on a new challenge, to push yourself again in a new environment. Manchester will always be in my heart, Manchester has shaped me and it will never leave me. We’ve seen it all,” De Gea wrote on Twitter.
