Lionel Messi scored an incredible hat-trick for Argentina against Newell’s Old Boys.
The match was played in Messi’s hometown of Rosario as a tribute to Maxi Rodriguez, who retired from football.
Messi opened the scoring after just four minutes with a free kick, sending the ball into the top corner from 20 yards.
His second was also a Messi-style goal. He equalized the goalkeeper by scoring his second goal.
Messi’s hat-trick goal may have been the best of the game. He chest-checked the ball inside the penalty area, beating the goalkeeper afterwards.
