Leo Messi is expected to make his debut with Inter Miami on July 21, in a match against Cruz Azul corresponding to the League Cup, between teams from the American and Mexican leagues.
A few days ago, the Argentine star will have held the first training session with the Florida team.
In addition to this competition and the MLS Championship, Messi can immediately aspire to another competition: the US Open Cup, comparable to the European Soccer Cup competitions.
It is a competition inspired by the FA Cup, played in one-match rounds with the participation of professional teams from different leagues as well as amateurs.
Inter Miami advanced to the semi-finals on Wednesday (immediately after Leo’s decision) and this Thursday the draw for the semi-finals took place: Cincinatti will host Inter on 23 August.
The other semi-final will be played on the same day, at a time to be decided, between the Houston Dynamo and Real Salt Lake, named as an affiliate of Real Madrid, a club admired by its first president, Dave Checketts.
