This woman

This woman that smells like chocolate,
Long ago she fell in love with me.
Now she lives with her husband in a flat,
We built in the boulevard recently.

I don’t know if she’s happy or not,
Tho’ her husband’s goodhearted and well-built,
As a goer, as a distant pal on spot,
I do stop, to say some words with a lilt.

But she never turns her head towards me,
Pitter-patters of her sandals resound,
ln my youth I loved her dearly,
As we often promised to bound.

We’d miss any chance to live together,
For she craved for a flat and a phone,
I just wrote editorials for newspapers,
And would sleep in newsrooms on poltroon.

But I know, that in dreams of the night,
I do open the grey door and appear,
Then I enter her heart and I alight,
Tho’ her goodhearted man’s sleeping near.

Like a chocolate, this woman does smell,
As she craved for a flat long ago,
Now she lives with her goodhearted man,
Does she live in the bliss?
I don’t know!
