“What happened? We were not well. We wanted to play differently and better, but we didn’t succeed. City were superior. That’s how it happened. They were better. We must accept this and congratulate them. Let’s see what will happen next”, said Luka Modriq in tears.
“There is a lot of analysis and criticism. We have to live with it and get used to it. Criticisms will not bury us, especially constructive ones and we must accept them after such a heavy defeat”
Modriq does not allow any criticism of coach Carlo Ancelotti.
“The coach deserves to stay in his place even after this defeat. He brought us so many trophies and last season he was amazing. We don’t need to dramatize”, said the Croatian midfielder.
“As for the end of my era, we have to move on, I don’t want to talk about the future now. We’ll see what happens. This team can bring many more celebrations for the fans”, concluded Modriq
