An Arsenal fan canceled his family summer holiday just to watch his favorite team win the Premier League title.
But, now this fan surely regrets it.
Mikel Arteta’s side led the title race for most of the season, but in recent weeks the Gunners have allowed Manchester City to take control of the league.
On Sunday, their dream was dashed after a 3-0 defeat by Brighton, who celebrated with goals from Julio Cesar Enciso, Deniz Undav and Pervis Estupinan.
As a result, City need just two points from their last three games to secure a third straight English title.
After the Arsenal game, the post made by the Arsenal fan in January returned to the scene.
“A year ago, my wife and I booked a family holiday to Mauritius, departing on May 26. But I recently found out that our last home game will be against Wolverhampton on the 28th of May. I had to cancel my vacation. My wife is furious. I’m afraid to go home. It is better for us to win the league. Pray for me,” this fan wrote.
