Qatari Sheikh Jasim bin Hamad Al Thani is giving more than 5 billion pounds to Man United. According to CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs, Al Thani has made a final offer to buy Manchester United for more than 5 billion pounds. Jasim’s proposal also includes a plan to invest significant additional funds and investments in the club’s infrastructure.
More than £5 billion has never been paid to a sports club. The biggest deal to buy a sports club to date was completed in 2022, when NFL club Denver Broncos were sold for $4.65 billion or (£3.75 billion). Sky Sports reports that the Glazers could turn down Al Thani, despite that the amount he offered could be the record sale of the club in the history of the sport. The Americans want about 6 billion pounds for Manchester United.
Al Thani wants to buy 100% of Manchester United. It is noted that only Qatari investors have such a desire, who are ready to pay more for the opportunity to own such a large club.
