Real Madrid was embarrassed tonight by suffering a deep defeat by Girona, within the 31st week of La Liga.
The “Kings” lost 4:2 to Girona, with the four winning goals for the locals scored by striker Castellanos.
The coach of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti expressed his disappointment with his players after the match.
“That was one of the worst nights. Very difficult”, declared Ancelotti disappointed initially.
“Everyone is guilty, everyone was bad. I will not talk about individuals. Everyone played below their level. Defensively, we were terrible. Really terrible. We were nervous, we weren’t winning the duels”.
“What you saw was not a team. We apologize to the fans. This was not a team game. When we play as a team, we can beat anyone. When we don’t play, this happens” – said coach Carlo Ancelotti, reports Marca.
With this loss, Real Madrid almost extinguished the chances of the title of the champion. Los Blancos occupy the second place with 65 points, 11 less than the leader Barcelona.
Girona is ninth with 41 accumulated points./
