Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has spoken after his team lost in the English Super Cup final to Liverpool.
3:1 was the final score in the match between Liverpool and Manchester City.
After the match, it was Pep who said that his team had a good performance against the ‘Reds’.
“We were really good against Liverpool and in the first half we created chances, but they weren’t enough to win,” he said first.
During that meeting, Haaland caught the eye, who missed several chances, Guardiola also spoke about this:
“When Erling Haaland scored in the United States, everyone was talking about how impressive it was. He was there and had the chances – nothing changes. He is strong. Another time he will put it in the net. This is football,” said the coach.
With today’s victory, Liverpool have won the English Super Cup for the 16th time in their history.
