Within 14 months, Harriet Robinson and Mason Greenwood went from the courts to… church steps. In January 2022, the Manchester United footballer’s girlfriend denounced the partner for rape and beating.
In fact, there was also a video where she appeared bleeding and with bruised marks on her body, which “burned” the English United international striker.
Robinson also released audio recordings in which her partner could be heard forcing her to have sex and threatening her with violence.
Ultimately 13 months later, in February 2023, Greenwood was acquitted due to the withdrawal of key witnesses, as well as new material that came into the hands of the authorities.
The couple is together again, as it was announced that they are expecting their first child and according to a publication of “Sun” the two are expected to get married soon.
Greenwood has left Manchester United since the complaint and although he is being paid normally his future is up in the air. His contract with the Red Devils runs until 2025.
