The oldest coach in the history of the “Premier League”, Roy Hodgson is back.
The 75-year-old was made official on Tuesday morning as the new manager of Crystal Palace, after the club sacked Patrick Vieira, who had replaced Hodgson in the summer of 2021.
The latter then went to Watford in January 2022, until June of that year.
This is the second time that the Englishman will lead Crystal Palace, a club that he has managed to keep in the “Premier League” in the four seasons he has been in charge.
During this period, more precisely in February 2019 in the match against Leicester, Hodgson became the oldest English manager in the history of the English football elite, with 71 years and 198 days, passing the legend Sir Bobby Robson.
This is the 24th mission in Hudgson’s career as a coach, which began in 1976, while he previously managed England, Switzerland, Liverpool, Inter, etc.
