Barcelona manager Xavi has already contacted Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan over a move in the summer window.
Gundogan’s contract with Manchester City expires at the end of the season and it has been confirmed that he will leave England as a free agent.
The report from AS mentions that the first contact has been positive as the German midfielder would be willing to join the Catalans, even if he had to take a pay cut.
He will be offered a three-year contract until 2025, if everything falls into place.
