Jurgen Klopp believes the clash between rivals Manchester United and Liverpool is always a big game, despite the Reds’ current poor form.
The Liverpool manager believes no one can underestimate the rivalry between his side and Manchester United and it will continue to be a special fixture in English football even though both teams are not at their best.
Just because there are three points in the game, this match becomes the same as any other, otherwise, the rivalry between the teams is very special and great,” said Klopp first.
“I love football, I love the noise we make with it, at least most of the time, especially when Liverpool and Manchester United play against each other. It has to be like this otherwise football would have absolutely no right to exist anymore. People want to know what both clubs are doing. That’s why I have no problem with them. It’s a big game and always has been. Thank God, it’s still one,” added the German coach.
Manchester United are currently third in the league. The Reds, on the other hand, are currently sixth and in contention for a place in the Champions League.
Jurgen Klopp’s team will face Manchester United today (Sunday) at Anfield.
