It is still not certain whether he will extend his contract, while one of the clubs interested is Manchester United.
After the match with Elche, journalists asked Carlo Ancelotti what will happen with Asensio.
“Will Asensio stay at Real?” Maybe you will, maybe not. I do not care. We all have tough challenges this season. The most important thing is that he contributes to the team with his game.”
“Let him continue to play as he has been. Then the club leaders can decide what to do with him”, said Ancelotti.
