Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not yet recovered from his injury.
According to ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’, Zlatan Ibrahimovic may not return in time for Milan’s Champions League match against Tottenham in February as he is still feeling pain in his knee.
The 41-year-old is training at Milanello and did not travel with the team to Riyadh where the Reds will face Inter in the Super Cup on Wednesday.
The Swede is still recovering after undergoing knee surgery in May. He was expected to return for February’s Champions League game against Tottenham at the San Siro, but the latest updates from Milanello are quite worrying.
According to the latest report from ‘Gazzetta’, the Swede still feels pain in his knee, so his return to action is likely to be delayed further.
The former Inter and Juventus striker started his last Serie A match a year ago on 17 January 2022 and his contract with the reigning champions expires in June.
As things stand, it is difficult to imagine that the “reds” will continue with the 41-year-old for another season.
