The managers of Atletico Madrid are interested in the footballer of Borussia Monchengladbach and the French national team Marcus Thuram, reports ‘L’Equipe’.
Atletico will try to sign a contract with Thuram until the end of January.
The French footballer has a contract with Borussia until the end of the season and has already refused several times to continue cooperation with the German club. Besides Atletico, Bayern, Inter and Newcastle also showed the greatest interest in Thuram.
Borussia want to sell the French striker already in the winter transfer window, as Thuram can leave the German club without compensation at the end of the season. The club from Monchengladbach decided a compensation of 20 million euros for the 25-year-old.
Marcus Thuram has been a member of Borussia since 2019, having previously played for Guingamp and Sochaux. He went through all the youth selections of the French national team and played in nine games for the first team.
