Nadal encourages Real Madrid to insist on Mbappe’s services

Rafael Nadal admits he would sign Kylian Mbappe tomorrow, with Real Madrid fans still hoping to see the French forward at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Such a change seemed destined to happen in the summer of 2022 after the French striker completed his contract with Paris Saint-Germain. Mbappe, however, accepted the new terms and continued at the Parc des Princes, leaving Real empty-handed.

Tennis legend Nadal believes a deal can be done, with the 22-time Grand Slam winner telling AS he dreams of seeing the Frenchman in Madrid.

“I don’t have to forgive Mbappe for anything, these things happen in sports. He wanted to come to Real Madrid, but he was under a lot of pressure and everything was complicated for him. I hope to see him in Madrid in the future.”

Pushed further on whether Real should continue to monitor Mbappe’s potential availability, with questions still being asked about how long the 24-year-old will stay at PSG, Nadal added: “As a Real Madrid fan, I would sign with Mbappe tomorrow.”

Mbappe’s new deal in Paris aims to keep him on the books of the Ligue 1 giants until 2025, but there have been suggestions he is not entirely happy in Paris and it remains to be seen what the future holds
