Xavi is the best coach in the world according to Barcelona president Joan Laporta.
A product of the ‘La Masia’ academy, Xavi won eight La Liga titles and four Champions League titles as a player with Barcelona, coinciding with one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.
Xavi returned to Barcelona as manager in 2021 following the sacking of Ronald Koeman, and despite an early exit from the Champions League, the former midfielder guided the team to first place in La Liga ahead of the start of the World Cup.
Xavi has stressed the need to win titles this season, and Laporta is thrilled.
Laporta believes Xavi is the best coach in the world, and says the 42-year-old’s emotional connection to the club is helping him bring success back to Camp Nou.
“I say we have to win titles this season. I totally agree with Xavi. I am very lucky to have the best coach in the world because Xavi, not forgetting his knowledge of football, is a man who is always interesting to listen to, who is also a club man and is very connected to the club”, said Laporta.
