The mother of an autistic Everton fan who saw his phone smashed by Cristiano Ronaldo has called on the FA to punish the Manchester United star. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who clashed with fans after a match Premier League at Goodison Park in April, has been charged after footage showed him punching a phone from 14-year-old Jacob Kelly.
The teenager was left with a broken phone and a bruised hand, while his mother is now asking the relevant authorities to take action against Ronaldo.
Let’s hope he finally gets the punishment he deserves. His behavior is unacceptable. I’m being followed by people saying he’s dragging it out again, but I didn’t know anything about it. He should have been sentenced six months ago. My son talks about what happened to him every day. He still hasn’t returned his phone,” Sara Kelly told The Mirror.
Kelly went on to say how the Portuguese can sleep after attacking a child. “He should have paid for that. He is the one who caused all this. It baffles me – he can attack a child and carry on as usual. How can he sleep at night knowing the trouble a new fan has caused him?”
