Football Insider is now reporting that the club’s management and the player are in talks over a new contract at Anfield.
They also claim the club are ‘increasingly hopeful’ of agreeing a deal for the midfielder, whose current contract expires at the end of the season.
It remains to be seen if there will be an agreement between the two parties.
