The match against Norway at the 2026 World Cup was Neymar’s final appearance for Brazil.
Brazil national team manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that there has been no change in the forward’s decision, after Neymar previously made it clear that he does not want to return to the “Seleção.”
“Neymar deserved to be there because of his quality. He has already confirmed that he does not want to return to the national team. He is irreplaceable because he has been an extraordinary and unique talent,” Ancelotti said.
The Italian coach also defended the decision to call up the Santos forward for the World Cup, praising his contribution to the Brazilian national team.
