Ancelotti compares Brazil to Real Madrid:

Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has drawn an interesting comparison between the expectations surrounding the Seleção and his time at Real Madrid.

The Italian admitted that there is an enormous hunger in Brazil to win the World Cup again, comparing it to Real Madrid’s obsession with securing “La Decima” — the club’s tenth UEFA Champions League title.

“I have found a situation similar to the one I experienced at Real Madrid. Here, the World Cup title has been missing for many years, and the desire to win it is immense. It reminds me of Real Madrid’s obsession with ‘La Decima’,” Ancelotti said, as reported by Gazeta Express.

Brazil have not won the World Cup since 2002 and are chasing their sixth title in history, known as “O Hexa.”

For that very reason, the Brazilian Football Confederation decided to entrust the national team to one of the most successful coaches in football history.

Ancelotti will begin his 2026 World Cup campaign with the objective of ending Brazil’s 24-year wait and restoring the Seleção to the summit of world football.
