Barcelona has received the “green light” from coach Hansi Flick to continue their collaboration, with a contract renewal offer until 2028 and an option for an additional season, reports Mundo Deportivo.
According to the report, the German coach is expected to sign the new contract after the team secures the La Liga title. This could happen as early as this weekend if Barcelona defeats Osasuna and Real Madrid drops points in their match against Espanyol.
Meanwhile, Flick’s agent, Pini Zahavi, is expected to meet with Barcelona’s management next week to finalize the details of the agreement. In the same meeting, Zahavi will also discuss the future of another of his clients, striker Robert Lewandowski.

Flick, who previously managed Bayern Munich, is said to be close to winning his fifth trophy with Barcelona in just two seasons, highlighting his significant impact at the club. The coach himself has stated several times that Barcelona would be the last club in his coaching career.
Otherwise, this season Barcelona is not competing in the other two competitions, as they were eliminated by Atletico Madrid in both cases—the Champions League and the Copa del Rey.
