Former Real Madrid midfielder, Luis Figo, has shared his expectations ahead of the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinal against Bayern Munich.
The Portuguese admitted that the challenge will not be easy after the 2–1 defeat in the first match, but he believes in a comeback by the Madrid side.
“It will be a difficult match. It’s hard to come back after a 1–2 result, but if there is one team with the greatness and quality to do it, it is Real Madrid.”
“Despite the unfavorable result at the Bernabéu and considering the history of this competition, I believe we can reach the semifinals.”
Figo also emphasized the importance of efficiency in such a decisive match.
“Efficiency is vital, especially in a match like this. It’s an away game and we are at a disadvantage. If Vinícius and Mbappé are decisive, everything becomes easier.”
“The main thing is to control Bayern’s attacking potential. We must avoid losing possession and take control of the game as quickly as possible.”
It is worth noting that the match between Bayern and Real will take place at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday at 21:00.
