Barcelona Suffers Major Blow, Raphinha Ruled Out for Crucial Part of the Season

Barcelona received the worst possible news today from Brazil. Specifically, one of the best players of the current Spanish champions, Raphinha, was injured during the friendly match between Brazil and France, which ended in a 2–1 victory for the Europeans.

The brilliant Brazilian suffered a posterior cruciate ligament injury and, according to the latest information, is expected to be sidelined for at least one month.

As a result, Raphinha will miss the two-legged Champions League quarterfinal clash against Atletico Madrid, followed by the league match against the same opponent, as well as fixtures against Espanyol, Celta, Getafe, and Osasuna.

There is also a possibility that he could miss the potential Champions League semifinals, should Barcelona advance past their rivals.

This will be a significant absence for the Catalan club, as Raphinha has been in excellent form this season, scoring 11 goals in the league.

Barcelona currently lead La Liga with 73 points, four ahead of second-placed Real Madrid.
