Real Madrid Suffers Major Blow: Courtois to Miss Quarterfinal Against Bayern

Very bad news for Real Madrid. First-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has suffered a muscle injury and will be out for a period of time, missing the big Champions League quarterfinal clash against Bayern Munich.

After medical examinations, the Madrid club confirmed that the Belgian goalkeeper has sustained an injury to the muscle in his right thigh.

As a result, he is expected to be sidelined for several weeks, while his condition will continue to be monitored. According to the latest reports, Courtois could be out for around six weeks, meaning he will not be available for both Champions League quarterfinal matches against Bayern.

This is a major problem for Real Madrid, which is already dealing with several absences in the squad.

In Courtois’ absence, Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin is expected to take his place in the starting lineup in the upcoming matches.

The Belgian goalkeeper’s injury comes at a delicate moment in the season, as the Madrid side is competing on multiple fronts, and the clash with Bayern is considered one of the most important challenges of this Champions League campaign.
