Bayern Munich’s young midfielder, Lennart Karl, is expected to sign a new contract with the German champions as soon as he turns eighteen this weekend, putting an end to speculation about a possible departure.
For months, the German talent has been linked with clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, while Premier League sides including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City have also shown interest.
However, Bayern have moved quickly to secure the rising star. According to reports, Karl will sign a new deal that will tie him to the club until 2029, with plans for a further extension in the future.
This season, he has started five matches in the Champions League and eleven in the Bundesliga — rare numbers for such a young player.
