French defender Dayot Upamecano will continue to be part of Bayern Munich.
After numerous rumors surrounding his future, the 25-year-old has decided to renew his contract with the German champions, putting an end to weeks of speculation. The new agreement will keep him at the Allianz Arena until June 2030.
Since his move to Munich, Upamecano has become one of the pillars of Bayern’s defense. He has made 180 appearances for the club, winning three Bundesliga titles as well as three DFL Supercups.
The contract extension confirms the club’s trust in the French center-back, who is expected to remain one of the team’s key figures in the years to come.
