Arsenal defender William Saliba has stated that the London club is aiming to win all trophies this season.
The “Gunners” are leading both the Premier League and the Champions League, while they are also still in contention for the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup, keeping alive the ambition of winning four trophies.
“Of course we want to win every competition. We have the squad and the coach to do it. We need to keep moving forward and stay focused in every competition,” Saliba said.
The French international also praised the depth of the squad, emphasizing that every player is ready to contribute.
“We have many quality players. Even those who don’t start have the level to be starters. Everyone is ready to give their maximum when needed,” he stressed.
Saliba also spoke about Saturday’s important away victory over Leeds United.
“It was very important to win because last week we weren’t happy with our performance at home. We conceded three goals and dropped points, which we didn’t like,” he admitted.
He added that the team reacted in the right way.
“We wanted to show that it was just a mistake that can happen. Now we are back to basics, with a win and a clean sheet against a strong team. It’s never easy to win at Elland Road, so we’re happy with the performance, both defensively and offensively,” Saliba concluded.
