Juventus continued their winning run in the league.
The surprise defeat to Cagliari in the previous round was quickly put behind them, as this time Juventus convincingly beat Parma 4–1 at the Tardini to move up to fourth place in the table, leaving Roma behind.
Juventus were clearly the better side and, after two clear-cut chances — both involving Francisco Conceição (one of them hitting the post) — the Bianconeri scored twice in the first half through Bremer and Weston McKennie.
Parma got back into the game at the start of the second half when Andrea Cambiaso scored an own goal, but the hosts’ joy lasted only four minutes, as Brazilian defender Bremer netted his second personal goal and Juventus’ third of the night. Shortly afterwards, Jonathan David also got on the scoresheet, sealing the final result.
In the next round, Juventus will host Lazio, while Parma travel to face Bologna.
