Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca is reportedly set to leave the London club today (Thursday).
According to journalist Matt Law, the Italian coach is expected to inform the board today of his departure from “Stamford Bridge”.
Sky Sports also reports that he missed the pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Manchester City, as he could leave the club before the match takes place.
According to Alex Crook, the main reason for Maresca’s departure is his dispute with the Blues’ co-owner, Behdad Eghbali.
Chelsea have had a mixed season so far, currently sitting fifth in the table, just two points behind fourth place.
In recent weeks, Maresca has also admitted that he does not feel supported by the club, and it now appears that the situation has reached a breaking point.
