Harry Kane on Barcelona’s Radar

Barcelona are targeting a new striker for next summer, with Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane emerging as a key name on their shortlist.

The 28-time Spanish champions are expected to be without Robert Lewandowski in the summer of 2026, when the Polish striker’s contract expires. Kane is seen as the leading candidate to take over the No. 9 role at the Camp Nou, according to Gazeta Express.

Kane’s current deal with Bayern Munich includes a €65 million release clause — a figure the Catalan club are fully aware of as they assess their options.

According to Sport, the England captain has been informed of Barcelona’s interest, though he is not expected to make any decision until the end of the current season.

Kane currently earns around €25 million per season in Germany, a salary that would be difficult for Barcelona to match given their financial constraints. However, the club see him as an ideal replacement for Lewandowski, who turns 38 next year and is entering the final stage of his career.

Barcelona are closely monitoring the market as they begin planning for a long-term successor to their veteran striker.
