The Brazilian wanted to confront Lamine Yamal after the final whistle, but there was also drama during the match, involving Real Madrid’s coach, Xabi Alonso.
He was substituted by the Spanish coach in the 72nd minute, something that clearly did not please the Brazilian.
“Why always me?”, said Vini as he angrily walked towards the tunnel and refused to sit on the bench, forcing the coaching staff to intervene.
According to a report by journalist Pipi Estrada on El Chiringuito, Alonso immediately sent a staff member to stop Vinicius and bring him back to the bench, with a clear message: “If he doesn’t return to the bench, he will play very little. Repeat that, make it absolutely clear to him.”
Only a few minutes later, Vinicius reluctantly returned to his place on the sidelines.
