€500 million investment not enough — Liverpool set a negative record

Liverpool have now lost four consecutive matches for the first time since November 2014.

Despite making heavy investments in the summer transfer window to bring in big names such as Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, the Reds have not started the season in the best possible way.

In fact, under Arne Slot, the team’s defeat to Manchester United marked their fourth straight match without a win — a negative record they had not reached since November 2014.

For Liverpool, this was their third consecutive Premier League loss, having already been beaten by Crystal Palace and Chelsea, while they were also surprised by Galatasaray in the Champions League.

It’s worth noting that the title “favorites” currently sit third in the table, four points behind Arsenal.
