In just two weeks, Barcelona will travel to the “Santiago Bernabéu” for the first El Clasico of the season.
Hansi Flick hopes to have players like Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Fermin Lopez available for the clash against Real Madrid, but one player who will definitely be absent is starting goalkeeper Joan Garcia.
Garcia suffered a meniscus injury after Barcelona’s win over Real Oviedo last month and underwent surgery to resolve the issue.
The recovery time was initially estimated to be between four and six weeks, and if he had recovered at the lower end of that range, he would have had a chance to be ready for El Clasico.
Barcelona had been optimistic that Garcia would be able to travel with the squad to Madrid, but that will not happen. According to Mundo Deportivo

“We’ll see how things progress, but for now everything is going well. I’ll be back in about a month, maybe a little more,” said Garcia.
If Garcia remains sidelined for another month, he will not be able to play for Barcelona before the November international break, which begins after their trip to face Celta on the 9th of that month.
He will miss the matches against Girona, Olympiacos, Real Madrid, Elche, Club Brugge, and Celta, with his potential return expected on November 23 in the match against Athletic Bilbao.
