Chelsea are ready to revive their interest in Juventus star Kenan Yildiz as they look to strengthen their attacking department.
The “Old Lady” forward is widely regarded as one of the most promising young talents in Europe.
According to reports, Chelsea have already seen a €70 million bid rejected by the Serie A giants, who understandably are reluctant to part ways with the Turkish international.
Yildiz is keen to continue his stay at Juventus, who feel no pressure to sell one of their most valuable assets.
In fact, the 20-year-old is under contract with the Turin club until 2029, and it would take a significant offer for them to consider selling the striker.
However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, talks between Juventus and Yildiz’s father-agent have recently stalled, which could open the door for Chelsea to secure his services in the near future.
The player’s agent is reportedly demanding a salary increase, as Yildiz has now established himself as a key part of the first team, but Juventus have yet to agree to those terms.
Despite Yildiz’s desire to sign a new contract, Chelsea are said to be closely monitoring his situation in Italy.
Reports claim that the London club’s previous €70 million bid was immediately rejected over the summer by Juventus CEO Damien Comolli.
However, the “Blues” are now said to be “ready to strike” again with another offer.
Chelsea have heavily invested in their attacking options this summer, signing Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho, and Liam Delap, as well as bringing in Facundo Buonanotte on loan, while Brazilian talent Estevao officially joined the club earlier this year.
